Foolproof Birthday Cake Recipe
60g butter/margarine
250ml milk
4 large eggs
375g sugar (470ml)
250g self raising flour (520ml)
4 t baking powder
Pinch of salt
Use 2 round baking tins (230mm). Cut 2 round (same size as the baking tins' bottom) waxpaper. Grease the roundings of the baking tins.
Combine the milk and margarine in a pot and warm on the stove.
Whisk eggs and sugar until sugar has desolved.
Sift together the self raising flour and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt.
Fold the flour mix into the egg mix.
Add the milk mix bit by bit into the egg and flour mix. Mix.
Put the mixture into the 2 baking tins
Bake for 20 mins (depending on your stove) at 180 degrees
