What is Earth Hour?
It is a call to action - for you as an individual, a business, and your community. Stand up, make a difference, take responsibility for your environment. It is a world-wide iniative that stretches accross Africa, America and Europe with over 64 countries participating. Earth hour is a message of hope and action - you can make that difference. In 2008, global landmarks like Rome's Coliseum and the Coke billboard in Times Square New York darkened for one hour, together with approx 50 - 100 individual people joining in.
In 2009, Earth Hour is aiming to reach 1 billion people.
