Herewith details of some of the reported incidents in the Honeydew Precinct, during the past week:
Attempted Hi-Jacking in Cosmo City: The complainant was leaving the church at approximately 7.40pm and was busy opening her vehicle’s door when an unknown man tried to grab her vehicle’s key.

On July 15, 2010 at 3am Captain Andrè Lamprecht of Honeydew police station headed a clean-up operation in the greenbelts in sector 2, 3 and 4 which continued until 11am.

Honeydew SAPS want to send out an urgent appeal to the residents to PLEASE ensure that your doors, gates and security gates are CLOSED and LOCKED at all times during the day and at night. In most of the House Robberies the suspects are gaining entry through OPEN doors.

Be on the look out for a coloured man, around 22 years of age, well built, around 6 foot tall and has a scar on the side of his face. He is normally very well dressed - gangster style, baseball cap, and Nike sneakers. He goes by the name of "Shakes". He is a real smooth chap, well groomed.

A suspect was arrested in the Muurbal/Netbal area with the assistance of several residents.
A Beagle Watch client saw three suspects climbing over the wall of a house opposite him. He phoned Beagle Watch and they responded in less than two minutes

A resident of Weltevreden Park is in Flora Clinic as a result of an attack on him at his home recently. He was badly beaten and was thrown on his glass table which was smashed.
