Weltevredenpark resident held up & car stolen
A mail sent to the Panorama Residence Association from one of our residents:
Last Thursday evening my brother-in-law and a colleague returned home at approximately 18hr45. They live in Opstal road behind Allen Glen school.
On entering their yard his wife had already been accosted by a black male in her house. On entering the yard two further black males accosted them in their vehicle and the third male escorted my sister-in-law out of the house. All of a sudden she heard shots fired and both my brother-in-law and his colleague were shot. Both were extremely lucky as one got shot through his ear and flesh of his neck from point blank range and the other guy was shot twice, once through his leg and abdomen. They asked for money and stole the family double cab.

Weltevreden Park Resident Held up at office

A friend of ours was held up and tied up at his office in JG Strydom on Thursday night, 13th August. There were approximately five armed gunmen who locked him in his office toilet and made off with his car and all his computers, plus various other items. He is very lucky to be unharmed, but personally I have had enough of crime and the subsequent after-effects that our families have to live through (especially our innocent children).
