Two suspects arrested
A suspect was arrested in the Muurbal/Netbal area with the assistance of several residents.
A Beagle Watch client saw three suspects climbing over the wall of a house opposite him. He phoned Beagle Watch and they responded in less than two minutes. A chase ensued and one of the bad guys was caught in the river line area. The SAPS arrived and took him into custody.
The other two suspects escaped in a taxi, hotly pursued by their backup vehicles. The taxi stopped at the Caltex garage in JG Strydom Road. The two suspects then split up in different directions.
One of the vehicles chased the taxi and eventually found it abandoned at the Hyperama. Another reaction officer chased one of the suspects who was jumping over residential walls from one house to another, he cornered the suspect and effected the arrest.
The two arrests were both carried out by the same Reaction Officer four kilometers apart.
